The Watershed Classroom Program is a 3-year recipient of the Bay-Watershed Education and Training Grant (B-WET) from the National Marine Sanctuaries Department of the federal National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The NOAA California Bay Watershed Education and Training (B-WET) Program provides funds to support environment-based education throughout the watersheds of San Francisco Bay, Monterey Bay, and Santa Barbara Channel.

Funded projects provide "meaningful" watershed educational experiences to students, teachers, and communities.

Recognizing that an educated community is the key to understanding and sustaining the Nation's ocean and coastal environments, NOAA has developed B-WET into a national program.

Watershed Classroom in the community

We recognize that when teachers are given the tools, materials and resources to enliven their curriculum students become more engaged with what they are learning. With that in mind the Watershed Classroom strives to connect our educators with community organizations, leaders, businesses and governmental agencies in order to match them with dynamic, first-hand resources.
